Starting from March 24th 2026, Woori Bank Vietnam Ltd. officially welcomes its new Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bae Tae In, who is expected to lead the bank toward stronger growth in the coming years.
Mr. Bae Tae In brings extensive experience in the banking and financial sector, with 28 years of service within Woori Financial Group, particularly at Woori Bank in Korea. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at several key divisions of Woori Bank Korea.
Notably, he has previously worked in Vietnam as Branch Manager of Woori Bank Vietnam’s Dong Nai Branch from 2020 to 2024, during which the branch achieved a number of notable milestones under his leadership.
With his long professional track record and deep understanding of the Vietnamese market, Mr. Bae Tae In has been entrusted by the parent bank’s leadership with the role of Chief Executive Officer of Woori Bank Vietnam. In his new position, he is expected to guide and implement strategies aligned with evolving market trends in Vietnam.
In the coming period, the bank will continue to promote its “Two Chairs” Private Banking service, a personalized financial advisory and wealth management model for premium clients that has been successfully implemented by the parent bank in Korea. First introduced in Vietnam in 2023, Two Chairs goes beyond conventional financial consulting by offering comprehensive wealth management solutions tailored to each client’s investment goals and long-term financial plans. Following its initial rollout, the service has gradually established a presence among affluent clients thanks to its in-depth advisory approach, high confidentiality standards, and premium service model, further strengthening Woori Bank Vietnam’s position in the Private Banking segment.
As part of efforts to expand its financial product portfolio in Vietnam, Woori Bank Vietnam has also introduced new credit card offerings to meet the increasingly diverse spending needs of Vietnamese customers. Earlier this year, the bank launched two new cards: Woori VV Premium and Woori Visa Korean Air. The Woori VV Premium card offers 10% reward accumulation for services such as golf, beauty, F&B, and hotels, along with unlimited 0.5% reward points for other transactions. Meanwhile, the Woori Visa Korean Air card provides attractive mileage accumulation along with a range of exclusive privileges when using services from Korea’s largest airline. These new products are expected to further enhance Woori Bank’s card ecosystem by offering more personalized benefits and elevating customer experience across different segments.
The new CEO also highlighted that Vietnam’s young population and high smartphone usage rate are key advantages of the market. Building on this, Woori Bank plans to comprehensively restructure its Mobile Banking application (WON App), strengthen digital banking channels, and expand online financial services to provide customers with a more convenient and secure banking experience.
With upcoming medium and long-term strategies and a philosophy centered on “Customer First,” Woori Bank Vietnam will continue its journey toward becoming a foreign bank trusted by Vietnamese customers, Mr. Bae Tae In emphasized.
Woori Bank is part of Woori Financial Group, established in 1899, making it one of the oldest banks in Korea with 127 years of history and development. In Korea, Woori Bank is among the largest banks, operating more than 1,300 transaction points worldwide, including over 700 branches and offices in Korea and more than 580 branches and offices across 24 countries and territories.
