On September 29, 2024, Woori Bank joined the 49th Hà Nội Mới Open Marathon for Peace, a prominent event held in Hanoi to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day and the 25th anniversary of its recognition as a “City for Peace” by UNESCO.
The marathon, which saw 2,500 support runners and 1,000 official participants, took place around the iconic Hoàn Kiếm Lake and Bà Kiệu Temple.
At 7:00 a.m. on September 29th, representatives of Woori Bank’s leadership and staff were present at Hoan Kiem Street to participate in the 49th Hànộimới Open Race – For Peace in 2024.

This is the second year that Woori Bank has participated as the sponsor. In the early hours of the morning, Woori Bank’s leaders and staff were present at the starting line with high energy, warming up together and getting ready to join the run in support.

At the Opening Ceremony, Deputy CEO Park Jung Ho – the representative of Woori Bank was on stage to sign the Peace Flag. This act is a sign of commitment to supporting all social & community activities for the benefit of society.
Head of Planning & Strategy Division – Mr. Lee Gyu Bong presented the award for the Advanced Female Category.
As the starting signal was shouted, the blue color from Woori Bank’s uniforms smoothly accelerated, blending into the thousands of runners in the race. Concluding an energetic and meaningful Sunday, all the Woori Bank’s staff hopes to inspire the sporting spirit and healthy lifestyle to everybody.
