The high spending demand during the National Day (September 2) holiday may pose a risk of card information leakage, which could be exploited by fraudsters to conduct unauthorized financial transactions.
To prevent fraudulent transactions involving international Debit and Credit Cards, please:
1. Do not provide sensitive information such as Card Number; Password; CVC to others, including bank staff;
2. Check immediately if you detect any suspicious transactions in Electronic Bank Statement or transaction notification message;
3. Be especially careful when using your Card in public places;
4. If you do not intend to make online payments via websites or mobile applications, it is advisable to disable your card’s online transaction feature. You may conveniently lock your card through the WON app or visit the nearest Branch/T.O for support.
How to use the function Block/Unlock Online Expense Transaction on WON App: Step 1: Log in WON. Step 2: Select “Service” => “Card” => “Card information” => “Block/Unlock transaction”. Step 3: Select a card. Step 4: Check card status Block or Unblock, then click “Confirm”. |
5. When suspected of leaking card information, request the Bank to block the card immediately by calling the Call Center 1800 6003, or self-lock the card on WON app, or go to the nearest Branch.
6. Request the Bank to issue a new card and should not continue to use the blocked card.
