Woori Bank Vietnam has officially announced a strategic partnership with Vietnam Cable Television (VTVCab) to bring esports tournaments closer to fans and the general public. Through this collaboration, Woori Bank not only expands our brand presence in the digital entertainment sector but also reinforces our commitment to supporting young people and the growth of professional esports in Vietnam.
On June 27, Woori Bank Vietnam became the official broadcast sponsor of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2025 (MSI 2025) across VTVCab’s digital ecosystem, including ON Live, VTVcabON, ONPlus, and ON Live TV. Before that, on June 25, the bank was also announced as the official sponsor of the ON Live Valorant Series 2025, Vietnam’s national-level tournament for the game Valorant.
By accompanying major domestic and international tournaments, Woori Bank is taking a significant step forward in reaching younger audiences – the core consumers of the future economy.
VTVCab is currently a key partner of several major units in the esports industry and owns the ON Live Esports platform – a producer, organizer, and broadcaster of numerous national tournaments. Through this partnership with VTVCab, Woori Bank is not only acting as a financial sponsor but also as a strategic partner, working together to build a well-structured, professional esports scene in Vietnam. The goal is to elevate esports to the same level of recognition as traditional sports – a vision shared by both players and fans across the country.
In South Korea – the birthplace of modern esports – Woori Bank has supported top-tier tournaments for many years. Since 2019, Woori Bank has been the main sponsor of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), one of the world’s most prestigious regional tournaments. In 2023, Woori Bank also began sponsoring the Valorant Champions Tour Pacific (VCT Pacific).
Expanding into Vietnam’s esports market marks the next step in Woori Bank’s global brand development strategy, guided by the vision of “Good Finance for the Next”. More than just an investment, Woori Bank sees esports as a meaningful connection point between the bank and the personal passions that drive today’s youth.
