According to the results of the study “Consumer payment attitudes in 2023” conducted by Visa, Vietnam leads Southeast Asia in digital payment transformation, with two main methods: e-wallet and QR payment. Keeping up with this trend, Woori Bank promotes cooperation with many strategic partners to optimize user experience on the Woori WON Vietnam digital banking application (WON App).

Recently, Woori Bank cooperated with VeXeRe Services Trading Company Limited (VeXeRe) to integrate the bus ticket booking service on WON App. WON App users can easily book bus tickets by accessing WON App, in the “Partners” section, select “VeXeRe”, then select the desired schedule, time, bus company, seat location, and pay with Woori Bank account. After successful payment, the ticket will be sent to the phone number and/or email that the customer registered.
This utility helps customers conveniently look up bus information, proactively book tickets and pay directly on the WON App without downloading other applications, calling the bus company or having to go to the station to buy tickets on-site. Not only does it save time, but this service is also highly appreciated for its security because the ticket purchase transaction will be deducted directly from the payment account on WON App.
More incentives for digital customers
From June 11, Woori Bank simultaneously launched two new promotions aimed at customers using digital banking.
Specifically, the program “Go everywhere easily – Get thousand reward points” helps customers save up to 100,000 VND when booking bus tickets on WON App. Accordingly, customers will earn 20,000 W-Points for each bus ticket purchase transaction worth from 100,000 VND on WON App, applicable to a maximum of the first 5 transactions. These W-points can be converted into money in your account according to the convention that 1 W-point is equal to 1 VND.

Program “Woori offers Phuc Long vouchers for new friends!”: Offering a Phuc Long e-Voucher worth 50,000 VND to new customers who open a Woori Bank payment account, download the Woori WON Vietnam application and log in successfully. From the end of 2023, Woori Bank has operated a flexible, customizable Open API platform, expanding cooperation opportunities with many partners, while bringing maximum benefits and increasing user experience.
Currently, Woori Bank customers can easily connect their accounts/cards with VNPay and ZaloPay e-wallets and conduct free deposit and withdrawal operations from the card/payment account. Next, Woori Bank plans to cooperate with National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (Napas) to launch ThaiQR payment service, allowing individual customers with VND payment accounts to scan QR codes with WON App to pay for goods and services that customers buy at payment acceptance units in Thailand that accept cross-border payment methods using QR codes.
