On June 11, 2025, the Economic Security Division of the Hanoi City Police held a meeting to present the 2024 “Standard Unit for Safety and Security” Certificate to Woori Bank Vietnam Limited. Notably, Woori Bank Vietnam was the only foreign bank honored on this prestigious list.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Kim ByungJin – CEO of Woori Bank Vietnam – along with other senior executives of the bank.
According to the Hanoi City Police’s 2024 assessment, Woori Bank Vietnam has strictly adhered to regulatory guidelines and effectively implemented awareness campaigns on security and public order across its entire staff. The bank proactively developed a model for the “Safety and Security Standard Unit,” aligning it with crime prevention programs, fire safety, traffic safety, and internal compliance controls.
Over the past year, Woori Bank has actively collaborated with the Hanoi City Police, particularly the Economic Security Division, in combating financial and high-tech crimes. The bank has provided effective support in investigations, account tracing, and information verification to help identify and address violations in the banking sector.
During the ceremony, representatives from the Economic Security Division and the Hanoi City Police extended congratulations to the staff of Woori Bank Vietnam and acknowledged the bank’s professional and close cooperation in maintaining internal security, economic safety, business operations stability, and vault security.
Looking ahead, the Hanoi City Police recommend that the bank continue to enhance legal awareness, improve the efficiency of its security personnel, and proactively coordinate with relevant authorities in crime prevention efforts to maintain its status as a “Standard Unit for Safety and Security.”
Representing Woori Bank Vietnam, the bank’s leadership expressed the honor in being the only foreign bank to receive this certification. It reaffirmed our commitment to sustaining and further advancing these achievements in the years to come.
