On October 9, 2026, in Yen Bai Commune, Hanoi, Woori Bank Vietnam, in cooperation with the Hanoi Red Cross Society and relevant organizations, held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a Red Cross House to the family of Ms. Le Thi Binh, a Muong ethnic minority resident and a near-poor household in Quyt Village, Yen Bai Commune. Woori Bank Vietnam contributed VND 130 million to the project, helping provide the family with a safer and more stable home.
Ms. Le Thi Binh’s family had lived in a modest one-story house built in 1995. After more than 30 years, the house had significantly deteriorated, with peeling walls and floors, as well as a low and damaged corrugated metal roof. Given the family’s difficult financial circumstances, building a new home was beyond their means.

In response to the family’s circumstances, the Hanoi Red Cross Society, Woori Bank Vietnam, and the Yen Bai Commune Red Cross Society worked together to support the construction of a new Red Cross House for Ms. Binh’s family. Construction officially began on July 24, 2026. With a contribution of VND 130 million, Woori Bank Vietnam played a significant part in helping turn the family’s long-awaited dream of a new home into reality. The project was also part of the activities in response to the “80 Days of Action for the Community” campaign launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society to mark the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
