On December 22, 2024, Woori Bank Vietnam marked a significant achievement by winning two major awards: the “Gold Star National Brand” and “Top 10 Vietnam Typical FDI Enterprises” awards, based on the operational performance and important contributions to the Vietnamese economy.
On the morning of December 22, 2024, at Ben Thanh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City, Woori Bank Vietnam received the “Gold Star National Brand” award, assessed by the Vietnam Enterprise Development Science Union and the Economic Research Institute For Asia.
To earn this award, Woori Bank Vietnam excellently met the criteria set by the organizers, including effective economic business operations with sustained growth over time; products and services widely promoted in the Vietnamese market; good consumer and customer policies; initiatives to improve employees’ physical and mental well-being; proactive international economic integration, particularly in Asia; and the application of scientific advancements and technology innovation.

On the same day, December 22, 2024, at the Military Theater in Ho Chi Minh City, Woori Bank Vietnam participated in the “Top Vietnamese Brands 2024” awards ceremony and was also honored with the “Top 10 Vietnam Typical FDI Enterprises” award. Notably, Woori Bank Vietnam was the only bank to be recognized in this category.
This award is part of an annual nationwide evaluation and survey aimed at encouraging, recognizing, and honoring leading and famous brands in the Vietnamese market. Similar to the “Gold Star National Brand” award, businesses receiving this award must meet strict criteria such as: being a reputable industry leader in the Vietnamese market; offering high-quality products and services in Vietnam and for global exports; having a sustainable development strategy in Vietnam; contributing significantly to the Vietnamese economy; fulfilling social responsibilities; and adhering to environmental, customs, and tax regulations.
Woori Bank Vietnam was honored with “Top 10 Vietnam Typical FDI Enterprises” Award
Entering the Vietnamese market in 1997 as the first South Korean financial institution to open a branch in Hanoi, Woori Bank Vietnam has achieved sustainable growth by supporting many Korean and Vietnamese customers and businesses over the past 27 years. Since officially establishing our legal entity and headquarters in Hanoi in 2017, Woori Bank Vietnam has made rapid progress, becoming the largest foreign-invested bank in Vietnam after increasing charter capital to VND 12.5 trillion at the beginning of 2024.
