With the desire to enhance the customer experience on the digital platform, from June 26, 2024, Woori Bank Vietnam has officially launched ThaiQR (QR code payment services) in Thailand.
With this service, customers who have demand deposit accounts opened at Woori Bank can use the WON App to scan QR code at nearly 8 million payment acceptance units in Thailand to purchase goods and services more conveniently.
From now on, Woori Bank customers can fully enjoy their vacation in Thailand as easily as in Vietnam with a simple tap and scan of QR code by WON App. In particular, when paying by QR code via the WON App in Thailand, money will be deducted directly from the balance of the VND payment account. Customers do not need to prepare too much cash, reducing the risk of losing money when traveling in Thailand.

Service Instructions
① Log in to WON App, access the QR scan feature
② Scan the QR code of payment acceptance units in Thailand
③ Enter the payment amount and the system will display transaction information: Store information, payment exchange rate, fee, amount converted to VND
④ Confirm the transaction using the authentication method according to Woori Bank’s regulations
⑤ The system processes transactions and notifies results to customers
∎ Note:
– After completing the transaction, the amount on the customer’s account will be converted to the foreign currency exchange rate at the time of payment and deducted directly in VND.
– Service fee: 0.22%/payment amount (Min: 2,200 VND)
