On November 26, 2025, at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Viet Nam, Woori Bank Vietnam was honored to participate in the 2025 “Joining hands to share” CSR Scholarship award ceremony, an annual event organized by the Korea Chamber of Business in Viet Nam (KOCHAM). The program aims to support Vietnamese students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have achieved outstanding academic results.
This year’s initiative brought together 39 Korean enterprises and organizations operating in Viet Nam, awarding scholarships to 94 students nominated by various ministries and governmental agencies. The total scholarship value reached VND 830 million. Woori Bank Vietnam is proud to sponsor 05 scholarships, each worth VND 10 million, for students who have persevered through hardship and demonstrated exceptional academic effort.
“Joining hands to share” has been KOCHAM’s CSR program since 2015, providing scholarships to more than 1,000 students and contributing to the promotion of social responsibility and the positive image of Korean businesses in Viet Nam. Beyond financial assistance, the program also creates opportunities for talented students to connect with the Korean business community.
According to Korean Ambassador to Viet Nam – Choi Young Sam, the scholarships awarded clearly reflect the trust Korean that businesses place in the potential of Vietnamese youth. He affirmed that Korea will continue to accompany Viet Nam on the journey toward becoming a high-income nation by 2045, viewing CSR as a meaningful model for fostering collaboration and bridging the future generations of both countries.
