Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) has caused severe damage to people and property in the northern provinces. To support the affected people, Woori Bank Vietnam quickly donated VND 2 billion through the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In addition, the staff of Woori Bank Vietnam enthusiastically donated with the spirit of sharing and caring for each other. With the donations from employees, the Head Office coordinated with the branches in the affected cities such as Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen to quickly support food and essential items for the residents to resume normal life. In addition, Woori Bank Vietnam coordinated with Vietnam Finance Magazine and Tuoi Tre Newspaper to buy Mid-Autumn gifts for families that suffered with heavy damage and support affected people.
On October 9, 2024, General Director of Woori Bank Vietnam – Mr. Park JongIl represented the Bank’s staff and Thai Nguyen branch to directly support households to recover from the storm in Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province. At the community house of Phuc Linh Commune, Dai Tu District, the Bank’s management board distributed gifts of essential items and cash to 20 households affected by Typhoon Yagi. Also, the management board and Thai Nguyen branch visited and encouraged two families whose houses had seriously collapsed in Phu Lac Commune, Dai Tu District.
