(Dan Tri) – On April 23, Woori Financial Group organized the DinnoLab Vietnam Center launch event in Hanoi, co-ordinating with the Korean Financial Services Commission (FSC) to open the “Global Demo day in Hanoi” event.
The event welcomes the participation of agencies representing Vietnam and Korea such as representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, the Korean Fintech Support Center, venture capitalists (VCs) and leading financial enterprises of the two countries.
DinnoLab (Digital Innovation Lab) is a center for nurturing and developing startups established by Woori Financial Group to support elite Korean startups that want to promote into the Vietnamese market and expand business to Southeast Asia.

The “Global Demo day in Hanoi” event was held on the same day with the participation of 5 companies supported by DinnoLab including Cashmallow, SCM Solution, TR Corporation, Pierrot Company, SnE Company and companies representing Vietnam’s fintech sector.
The first part of the event was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Woori Bank Vietnam and Webcash Global Co., Ltd. After that, the signing ceremony of MoU between the Korean Fintech Support Center and Vietnam Fintech Club with the goal of cooperation in developing the Vietnam – Korea Fintech field took place.
Next, businesses attended events related to the fintech field with topics such as introducing investment trends in the Vietnam – Korea fintech industry; introducing advertising booths and presentation programs of elite fintech businesses; Business meet-up program helps fintech companies find opportunities to cooperate with investors.

General Director of Woori Bank Vietnam – Mr. Park Jong Il – said: “Vietnam’s fintech industry has high development potential because Vietnam is a country with a young population and high economic growth rate, which is a great opportunity to promote the fintech sector. Therefore, Woori Financial Group decided to launch DinnoLab Vietnam Center with the purpose of being a bridge to discover new fintech business models, supporting Korean fintech companies to expand and develop and looking for cooperation opportunities in Vietnam”.
The delegation attended the launching ceremony of DinnoLab Vietnam Center and the opening of the Global Demo day in Hanoi event.
Also according to Mr. Park Jong Il, this event is considered by Woori Bank Vietnam to be a turning point in the development of the Vietnam-Korea fintech industry, a stepping stone for Woori Financial Group to develop a plan to support businesses. The startup is not only in the fintech field but will expand into many other business areas in the future.
