[October 19, 2024, E-Daily] – Woori Bank Vietnam has expanded its business network with the opening of 27th branch, the Nam Binh Duong Transaction Office, in Binh Duong, a key industrial city in southern Vietnam. This move is a part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance its local presence and meet the growing demand for financial services in the region.
Binh Duong, a rapidly growing industrial city located to the north of Ho Chi Minh City, has seen steady population growth, driven by the Vietnamese government’s smart city initiatives. The area is being developed with new towns, administrative centers, shopping malls, industrial parks, and financial hubs. Binh Duong is also well-connected to other major cities in the region, including Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa, and Dong Nai, through an extensive transportation network.
Woori Vietnam Bank plans to develop the Nam Binh Duong Transaction Office as a retail-focused channel catering specifically to local residents. In addition to promoting corporate financial services in conjunction with the Binh Duong Branch, the new transaction office will also expand its retail products and services for local customers, including personal loans, credit cards, salary accounts, payment accounts, as well as currency exchange, and money transfer services.
A representative from Woori Vietnam Bank commented, “Focusing on localization, we successfully increased 200,000 digital retail customers in just the past year.” The representative further emphasized, “This growth is the result of our multi-dimensional business approach, integrating corporate and retail banking. This includes attracting local business agents and small enterprises with networks across Vietnam to open collection accounts.”
In addition to the Nam Binh Duong Transaction Office, Woori Vietnam Bank has expanded its network with four new networks this year, including My Dinh Transaction Office, Lotte Mall Branch, and Lotte Center Transaction Office. Next month, the bank also plans to open a new branch – West Saigon Branch, bringing the total number of operational branches to 28.
